Maestro Joseph Giunta visits Eason Music Class

Maestro Joseph Giunta of The Des Moines Symphony visited with first grade students in Jennifer Senne’s music class on March 14. He taught them about the different instrument families and conducted everyone in an imaginary orchestra.  Maestro Giunta also shared an orchestral score and helped students learn to conduct using the baton.  The first graders performed a dance that they had been working on to welcome him to Eason.  It was an experience that they will never forget!

Maestro Guinta talks to Russell Cates, Ella Friedman, Charlie Goldsworth, and Tatum Fox about the symphony.

Maestro Guinta helps Mari Mineck learn how to conduct.
