National History Day 2014 Informational Meeting:
There are 2 different scheduled informational meetings about National History Day 2014. If a student is interested, they should plan to attend one of the following meetings, December 5 or 6 at 7:35 am in Andrea Harbaugh’s Room (room 421—by the Library). If a student has a conflict attending, the student should talk to Mrs. Harbaugh.
What is National History Day?
National History Day helps students develop the following skills:
- critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- presentation skills
The theme for this year is “Rights and Responsibilities in History”. This theme provides many avenues in which students can conduct their research. National History Day projects may be completed individually or collaboratively pending on category rules.
Students may compete in the following categories:
- Dramatic Performance
The first official meeting will be Wednesday, December 18 at 7:30 in Mrs. Harbaugh’s room. All participants should have signed contracts at this time.
