Eason’s Book Drive

A group of Eason fifth graders called the VIPs, working with the school’s guidance counselors Emily Luymes and Melanie Dayton, began a book drive.  All books collected were donated to Blank Children’s Hospital.  The students worked daily to sort and box the donated books, and they helped the hospital representative load them in her car when the Book Drive was concluded.  Eason’s staff and families donated hundreds of gently used and new books so that children in the hospital will have plenty to read!

Some of the Eason students who organized the Eason Book Drive from left to right, Marcos Lopez, Samuel Hobby, Vance King, Erik Bennethum and Caleb Bush.

Eason VIP members help the representative from Blank Children’s Hospital load many boxes of books donated by school staff and families.
