HyperStream Club Win Third Consecutive First Place Trophy
Congratulations to the Waukee High School HyperStream Club on their incredible performances at the IT Olympics at ISU this past weekend. The club participated in 4 venues: Cyber Defense, Gaming, Multimedia, and Community Service. The club put in many months of preparation and competed in two very long days of realtime competitions over the weekend against close to 40 schools from across the state.
The Cyber Defense teams came home with a solid performance in an extremely competitive field placing eighth and 14th out of 29 teams. The Gaming team came home with its third consecutive first place trophy. This was the first year of competing for the Multimedia team who also brought home a first place trophy. The entire club participated in the annual community service project, the Iowa Service Learning Institute, which won them a second place trophy.
