Friday Night Football Changes
Fans coming to Waukee Stadium on Friday nights this fall to cheer on the Warrior football team, cheersquad, and dance team, as well as, the award winning Warrior Regiment will notice a few changes. These changes are being implemented to help make the fan experience more safe and enjoyable.
- Bag Check: All fans entering the stadium at both the home and visitor entrances will be subject to a bag check. (Our existing policy of NO outside food or drink remains in effect, as well as, not allowing fans to re-enter the stadium after leaving). We hope that fans will understand that entry into the stadium may take longer and will plan accordingly.
- Little Warrior Zone: Elementary students attending Friday night games will have their own seating section! In past years, this portion of the Warrior fan base has been neglected, having no designated section to sit in. This year they will have the best seats in the house, field level! The Little Warrior Zone will be located in the south end zone on the turf. Elementary age students will sit in aluminum bleachers in a clearly roped off and contained area. The area will be supervised by CSC security, local law enforcement and elementary teaching staff. This should help alleviate some of the overcrowding in the asphalt area around the concession stand.
- Warrior Regiment: The state’s top competition marching band, Warrior Regiment, will move closer to the fans and sit in on the track next to the home stadium. This should allow for more interaction with the dance team, cheer squad and fans.
We are excited about the upcoming season. Come out and cheer on the Warriors August 29 when they battle crosstown rival Valley at 7:00pm!
