Waukee Star Struck 2016


Waukee’s annual STAR STRUCK Show Choir Invitational and Jazz Choir Festival, will be Friday, Jan. 15, and Saturday, Jan. 16, at Waukee High School.  The Jazz Choir Festival starts Friday afternoon with the Waukee group and will continue on Saturday with Jazz Choirs from around the metro area. The Jazz Choir Festival will take place in the high school auditorium. Each performing group will be cliniced on stage by Matthew and Shelly Armstrong.

The Show Choir Invitational starts on Friday, Jan. 15 with middle school show choirs from Waukee and other metro groups. This will be held in the Waukee high school fieldhouse. On Saturday, Jan. 16, the Show Choir Invitational continues with high school show choirs from around the state of Iowa. At 7 p.m., the top 6 groups of the day will compete again for the honor of Grand Champion.

Admission
All-Weekend Pass:
$25 – adults
$20 – students

Jazz Festival only:
$5 – adults & students

Friday night:
$10 – adults
$8 – students

Saturday – All-Day Pass (including show choir finals and jazz choir festival):
$16 – adults
$15 – students

Saturday – daytime round of show choirs:
$10 – adults
$8 – students

Saturday Show Choir Finals:
$8 – adults
$8 – students

No passes. Cash or checks only. Checks are payable: Waukee Vocal Boosters. Paying guests will receive a wristband. Students who perform during the weekend receive free admission both Friday and Saturday. They need to check-in at the “Student Pass Gate” on the Southeast corner of the high school to receive a hand stamp as their pass.
