Brookview Teachers Receive Walmart Reward
Brookview Elementary was chosen by Walmart Jordan Creek as winners of their Teacher Reward Program. Walmart’s Teacher Reward Program awards up to $4.5 million to help 90,000 teachers across the United States purchase classroom supplies. Twenty Brookview Elementary teachers were awarded with a $50 Walmart gift card Sept. 21.
Walmart’s food merchandise supervisor Mary Coleman; training coordinator Marilyn Powers; and assistant manager Bridgett Kauffman, randomly drew the names of 20 lucky teachers. Winning teachers can use the funds to purchase essential items for their classrooms such as paper, folders, binders, clipboards, pens, pencils, crayons and markers.
In addition to the gift cards, Walmart also supplied all 50 teachers at Brookview Elementary with gift bags filled with school supplies, five extra gift bags and a teacher appreciation cake.
