Homecoming Activities

  • September 10: Voting for Homecoming Court September 10
  • September 17-22:Waukee Homecoming is the week
    • MONDAY (9/17):
      • Dress up Day – “Timewarp Day”.  Dress in past or present or future attire.
      • After School – (Tentative) “Powderpuff”
    • TUESDAY (9/18):
      • Dress up Day- “-er day.”  Dress related to something that ends in the letters -er (farmer, golfer, toddler, baseball player, etc.)
      • After School – School/Community picnic at enclosed shelter at Centennial Park time likely from 6-9 p.m. Free will donation accepted.
    • WEDNESDAY (9/19):
      • Dress up Day – “Imaginary Character Day”
      • Nothing scheduled after school
    • THURSDAY (9/20):
      • Dress up Day – “Go Together Day”.  Dress as people or items that go together (Bill and Hillary, peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, Brad and Angelina, )
      • After School – Parade at 6:00, pep rally and coronation following the parade.  After the coronation, powderpuff football games.  Sophomores take on the juniors in the first game, and the winners of the first game take on the seniors in the second game.
        • Local businesses and organizations can participate in the parade. Those groups need to contact Brian Christensen or Scott Blum by email or phone (987-5163) in order to be put on the list.
    • FRIDAY (9/21):
      • Dress up day – “Spirit Day!”
      • Assembly in the afternoon.
      • After School – Game
      • High School Open House – 4-7 p.m.
    • SATURDAY (9/22):
      • Homecoming Dance will be 8-11 p.m. Saturday night in the west gym.
