Why Do We Celebrate Pay It Forward Week?
Every child and adult is unique and special. We all have the right to be comfortable in BEING OURSELVES. Every person is amazing and has the capacity to change the world through kindness. Bullying behavior can disappear through the development of a movement where our eyes are turned towards others in an effort to help, build up and appreciate. Bullying behavior affects everyone—kids who are bullied, kids who bully, and kids who see it. Kindness starts with me.

Younkers is taking a stand to STOMP OUT bullying, see their website for 3 great ways that you can support the movement to be a leader and Stomp out bullying.
This week will begin with a new movement at Brookview. We are looking for Leaders who are caught brightening another student’s day. Look for wanted posters by the guidance office and stay tuned for more information.
We will be helping various Des Moines agencies through the 5th annual Winter Warmth Drive. You are welcome to donate new winter items such as mittens, coats, boots, etc. The Winter Warmth Drive will begin on Monday and run through Friday. Your generosity will help keep a Des Moines child warm this winter.
On Thursday, we are going to be focusing on each child’s mind and body through a very special wellness day where classes will get to visit different stations throughout the school. They will get to learn new dances, do yoga, create art, take a big hike and the list goes on and on through this special day. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Mrs. Seiler, our PE teacher.
