  • reviewed that relationships with students must be in place for new learning to occur; provided feedback to other staff members regarding their Relationship Action Plans; devised a plan to improve or continue building relationships with students
  • reviewed that emotions play a role in new learning:  students must have their basic needs met, students must have a relationship with the teacher, and after both are in place, new learning may occur
  • read an article that presented teachers with 10 ways to create a learning culture in their classrooms, including ideas such as know everyone’s story, arranging learning spaces to encourage collaboration, and make sure you listen to your students
  • created an innovative and vivid lesson plan for a learning target coming up in their content areas with their content teams
