Shuler 2nd Graders Enjoy Learning About Rocks

During the month of October second grade students have enjoyed investigating rocks. Students first had the opportunity to learn about sand, silt and mud and then had the chance to explore and observe rocks.  Students are now rotating classes between the five different second grade teachers to become more of an expert in one area.  By the end of the rotations students will be able to identify many different items made by rocks and will know that rocks are made by minerals.  Students will also learn about crystals as well as stalactites and stalagmites and watch them grow in their classrooms.
