Girls learn about Science at Maple Grove Elementary

Maple Grove is holding a SciGirls class for girls in 2nd through 4th grade.  The group will meet 4 times between November and March.  This gathering of young future Scientists and Mathematicians is to promote Science and Math to young girls.  The girls met on November 12 and spent the hour  learning about engineering through the  hands on experience of building towers with spaghetti and marshmallows. They also learned about Jane Goodall and the contributions she has made in the area of Science.  Parent volunteers organized the SciGirls group.

Students Ella Soliday and Macy Davis celebrate building the tallest tower at the November 12 SciGirls meeting.
