Waukee to Host Symposium for Instructional Leaders
The Waukee Community School District will be hosting a symposium for instructional leaders on June 10, 2014. Instructional coaches, teacher leaders and administrators are invited to network and explore teacher leadership through the eyes of practicing instructional coaches.
The symposium is designed to define and refine instructional leadership to foster cultures of growth and impact student learning in the 21st century. Join us for a day of intellectual synergy and exploration around instructional coaching practices and partnerships, as well as a keynote address from Dr. Brad Buck, Iowa Department of Education Director. Session topics will include: The Art of Coaching, Designing Innovative Professional Development, Making the Most of Instructional Leadership, Building Cultures of Trust, Coach-Principal Relationships, The Different Hats of Coaching, & Reflective Conversations.
