Waukee Youth Wrestling

BEGINNER Level Wrestling: This is a great format for inexperienced wrestlers who need more one-on-one training. The large group will be broken down to two smaller groups for specialized instruction. We will be assessing kids weekly to ensure they are in the right place for their developmental needs. Pre-K and inexperienced kindergartners will meet at Prairie View (PV) and ALL other beginners will meet at the high school wrestling room. (High School wrestling room is located in the north hall by the Fieldhouse gymnasium)

INTERMEDIATE Level Wrestling: This level is ideal for wrestlers who have attended several tournaments and need a more intense practice. Practice will be held in the high school wrestling room. The size of this group will dictate if we need two locations. This group will be divided up by age and ability within the room in order for each wrestler to get exactly what they need.

ELITE Level Wrestling: This level is “Invitation Only” and a high level of skill and focus must be proven before given an invitation. Wrestlers wanting to be in the Elite level need to register as Intermediates and the coaching staff will be responsible for assessing needs and abilities. Coach Vollmecke will communicate opportunities with parents as they arise.
