Volunteers Needed for the Waukee Warrior Kids Challenge

This year marks the 100th year anniversary of the Waukee Community School District (WCSD). Come participate in the Waukee Warrior Kid’s Challenge as part of “Celebrate Waukee” on Saturday, June 4 from 2-4 p.m. at Centennial Park.

This is a great opportunity for students (Kindergarten through 5th grade) in WCSD to work toward a common goal for their school. Students will receive a “pom-pom” for every event they participate in. The school with the most pom-poms collected at the end of the event will be the overall winner and will receive $500 from Central Bank to put toward a project of their choice. Participants are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item to donate to the Waukee Food Pantry.

Approximately 60 volunteers are needed to help facilitate field day events for students. High school students can earn Silver Cord hours by participating in this volunteer opportunity. Parents and community members are also encouraged to volunteer for the Waukee Warrior Kid’s Challenge.

Register today to volunteer for event.
