  • Saturday, November 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Join us for donuts!)
  • Monday, November 13 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, November 14 from 8:35 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 15 from 8:35 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 16 from 8:35 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

If you’re all booked up during Book Fair week (or just want to keep shopping), be sure to visit the Book Fair online.

All orders ship to school for FREE and each purchase benefits our school !!

You can also help your child’s teachers add to their classroom libraries with the Classroom Wish List Program.  Eason teachers have chosen titles that would be useful to them in their teaching, and you can purchase those books by selecting a Book Donation card from the Wish List display.  As always, Eason’s Scholastic Book Fair promises to be an exciting event for readers of all ages.  All proceeds from this sale will benefit Eason’s Media Center, and we are grateful for your continued generosity in promoting a love of reading in our community!  We hope to see you at the Book Fair!

FUN RUN – HUGE SUCCESS!

Wow! We’d like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who ran, cheered, volunteered, and raised money for Eason’s Warrior Fun Run Fundraiser! Thanks to your efforts, we raised over $40K!! The money we raised will do all sorts of awesome things at Eason Elementary and in our community. One of the biggest investments from last year’s fundraiser was the new furniture purchased for Eason’s Media Center. Thank you again — we couldn’t have done it without you!  A special thank you to mi-fiber, SSI Specialties, Jimmy’s Egg, Costco, HyVee, Casey’s, and Rita’s Italian Ice for their donations to our school. Also, a big thank you to TJ Irvin Photography for creating our finish line banner and for photographing the Fun Run and all of our runners. Please be sure to support these businesses when possible and thank them for helping our school!

WAUKEE FOOD DRIVE

Eason Elementary students and staff will again have the opportunity to participate in the annual Waukee Foundation Fall Food Drive from November 6 through November 17th.  Each Waukee school has been designated specific items to donate so the Waukee Food Pantry receives all the essential food requirements during this upcoming winter season.  Eason’s designated items are:

Meals in a Can – stew, sloppy joes,

     chili, soup, canned pasta,

     canned tuna or chicken

While the Waukee Food Pantry prefers that Eason families donate these items, the organization has an immense need right now so they appreciate any and all canned and packaged items.  They appreciate our efforts!

THANK YOU!

AUTOMATED ATTENDANCE CALLS:  HOW DO THEY WORK?

If your child’s teacher has marked the student as absent and we haven’t heard from parents by 9:00 AM, there is a chance you will receive an automated call from Waukee Community Schools.  Notifying the school after that time still excuses your child, but may be after data is automatically pulled and computer calls are scheduled to go out.  (Calls may still be sent to your number.)

Please remember to call the attendance line at 987-2765 prior to that time if your child is ill or if he/she will not be at school until later in the day due to an appointment.

EMAIL:  Email is also convenient, but please remember:

  1. Once the teaching day starts, staff may not be able to check their email.
  2. Substitute teachers and substitute secretaries cannot access school email accounts.

Thanks for your help in keeping us informed about whereabouts and safety of all our students!
