Drew’s Crew for Kids: Collection Drive May 14 – May 18
Just like parents, Drew’s Crew for Kids is busy finalizing summer plans and they need YOUR help. Drew’s Crew will be supporting our students in summer sports camps and clinics, getting students ready for summer and fall music programs, participating in the summer lunch Picnic & Play programs and offering Story Time in the Parks. To help Drew’s Crew serve Waukee Community School District children through the summer programming, there are some specific supplies that are needed.
The following are the items that can be accepted as part of this drive:
- 24 count boxes of Crayola crayons
- New drawstring athletic backpack bags (any brand)
- New water bottles (preference is green Gatorade brand)
- New or gently used books
- New or used music stands
Please drop off any of the above items throughout the week of May 14 – May 18 at any Waukee Community School elementary or middle school. There will be boxes to place items in with Drew’s Crew for Kids signs near the office.
Special thanks to local real estate company, Space Simply and owner Cy Philips for providing a monetary match for all donated items. Space Simply will donate $10 for each item collected up to $2,500. Together your donated items will have twice the impact for Waukee children.

News from the Nurse
If your child has medications that have been kept at school this year, please call the school and let us know if you will be in to pick the medication up on the last day. If I do not hear from you, medications will be sent home with your child on the last day.
Thank you all for a successful year at Woodland Hills. I have enjoyed caring for all of your children. Please remember all of the potential dangers that come with the fun of summer ‐- sunburns, campfires, water dangers, bike accidents, falls, etc.
Have a healthy and safe summer!
