Waukee Community School District will hold a budget hearing on April 8, 5:30 p.m., at the District Office. The FY24-25 budget hearing is a result of House File 718 and is open to the public.

Student enrollment in WCSD has seen an annual increase of 450-550 students for two decades. The property tax rate has remained stable over that time, with funds from increasing valuations collected to meet the needs of the incoming students through added staffing, transportation, energy costs, etc.

Northwest High School's prom will take place at the WILC on April 13 from 8-10 p.m. After prom will take place at Northwest High School from 11 p.m.-4 a.m.
