Waukee Community Education Plans for New Programs
We welcome a new year of challenges and successes as we navigate the constant growth in our school district and Waukee Community Education Department.
Waukee Community Education will oversee a new high school intramural program that is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2015. We will begin the hiring process for a newly created community education coordinator position this fall. This unique position will coordinate the intramural program as well as supervise our district facility rentals operation. We are looking forward to providing our high school students with a wide variety of intramural activities. We also plan to serve our community members with an increased level of customer service within our facility rentals.
As we look towards our upcoming fall classes, we have a number of exciting new learning opportunities, including: What Gifted/Twice Exceptional Students Really Need, Glass Fusion, Is IT for Me?, Parent & Child Gingerbread House Decorating, German Camp, and Trumpet Lessons. We encourage families to try something new. Online registration for fall classes opens August 22.
Throughout the year Waukee Community Education will continue to provide wonderful opportunities for all ages to Learn, Serve and Thrive!
