Due to anticipated severe weather conditions, Waukee CSD will dismiss two hours early today, May 21. Buses will run their normal two-hour dismissal routes. Afternoon preschool, Community Education classes, and facility rentals are canceled. All Waukee CSD evening activities are canceled; however, we are awaiting guidance from state tournament officials for state playoff events.

Picnic & Play: “Cool as a Cucumber” Nutrition Kits

Today we will be distributing “Cool as a Cucumber” nutrition kits provided by Iowa State University Extension at our grab and go meal sites. Bags will be available at the following site(s): Sun Prairie Apartments, 6137 Vista Dr, West Des Moines, IA 50266, enter at the complex entrance closest to 60th St. and Vista Drive and follow the signs around to the north side of the parking lotAll activities and meals are free to anyone age 18 years old or younger who visit a site. Participants will not be identified and do not need to sign-in to receive the take-home activities or a lunch.
