Meet the Trailridge Principal: Adam Shockey

We are excited to announce Adam Shockey, current Principal at Timberline School, will be the first Principal at Trailridge School starting July 1, 2023.  

Shockey has served Waukee Community Schools for 14 years as a teacher and administrator.  

He was the principal at Waukee Middle School for five years before serving as Timberline’s principal for the last four years. Prior to Waukee Community School District, he was a teacher and administrator in Arizona, Illinois, and Waverly, IA.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, and master’s degree from Northern Arizona University. Shockey resides in the Waukee District with his wife Heather, and their three children.  

The future of Trailridge School looks bright under Shockey’s leadership. We look forward to filling Shockey’s role, and continuing the excellent example he has set forth at Timberline School.
