Celebrating Individual Differences

On November 17 Maple Grove Elementary will be asking our students to “Dress How They Want.”  Throughout this year, we are celebrating diversity and inclusion through the theme, Your Story Matters. Our goal this Friday is to allow students to show individual differences through their clothing.
Children may dress up for their favorite team, for a future (or family member’s) career, to show their family heritage or culture, or they can dress the way they normally do to express themselves that way. Teachers will also be encouraged to participate. We will be filming the students on Friday for a video we are creating for our next assembly.  The assembly will be focused on Respecting Others Differences.
We thank you for your time and helping your child share a little bit more about “their story.”
