Waukee Technology Student Association Finish Strong
Prairieview Technology Student Association (TSA) competed at the Johnston Local Competition on Feb. 16. This new group took several entries to the competition in the following categories: Structural Engineering, Dragster Design, Technology Quiz Bowl, and RC Car Racing.
Special mentions go out to Maddie Darveau for a 2nd place finish in Structural Engineering, Jake Larson for a 3rd place finish in Structural Engineering, and the team of Maddie Darveau, Jake Larson, and Alexia Stock for a 3rd place finish in Technology Quiz Bowl. The Waukee TSA Students are competing locally around the Des Moines Metro, in preparation for the annual Iowa TSA Spring Conference in mid-April.
TSA is a national, non-profit organization for middle and high school students with a strong interest in technology. TSA fosters personal growth, leadership, and opportunities in technology, innovation, design and engineering. Students apply and integrate science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) concepts through co-curricular activities, competitive events and related programs.
Jeremy Cooper, Waukee Prairieview Technology Education Teacher, is the advisor for the Waukee Technology Student Association (TSA). Their next local competition will be Panorama on March 8.
