Waukee Named Large School All-Sports Champion

After top 10 finishes in each of the last seven years, the Waukee Warriors are the 2014-15 All-Sports Champion. The competition, compiled by the Des Moines Register, tabulates a total number of points for each school based on team finishes in state events. Waukee, which prides itself on promoting a well-rounded athletics program, had “top 8” finishes in 14 of the 21 sports sanctioned by the IHSAA and IGHSAU. Highlighted by state team championships in Boys Golf, Girls Basketball, Boys Track and Softball, the Warriors accumulated 78 total points, the second most points earned by a school since the competitions inception in 1999.

Congratulations to the athletes, coaches, parents and fans of all Waukee athletic teams on one of the all time best high school athletic seasons in state history!
