Speech and Theatre Arts courses are available to students in Grades 6-12. Contents are combined at the 6th and 7th grade levels and available as electives at the 8th-12th grade levels. Speech I or Oral Communication is a graduation requirement.

Speech standards, benchmarks, and objectives were revised during the 2012-13 school year to be consistent with the Common Core Standards for Speaking and Listening, National Standards for Speech, and other aspects of the Literacy Common Core.
