Business Curriculum

Waukee business students will be prepared to confidently apply business knowledge and ethical behavior in a global economic system, communicate and collaborate with various individuals and groups, and develop and apply 21st Century Skills to contribute productively in the work environment.

High School Business (Grades 9-12)

Waukee CSD business programs offer a dynamic pathway for students to explore foundational business principles and build skills vital for success in today’s economy. Courses such as Introduction to Business, Marketing, Business Law, and Entrepreneurship provide practical knowledge in finance, branding, law, and innovation. Students gain hands-on experience in budgeting, market research, and software applications, preparing them for real-world challenges. Through partnerships with Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), they also access leadership and networking opportunities at state and national levels. This program empowers students with problem-solving skills, financial literacy, and the confidence to excel in college and career pathways in business, finance, marketing, and management.
